Energy Research Center Modernization
Built in 1947, this facility has been transformed into a dynamic hub for interdisciplinary energy research and innovation. Marshall Craft transformed aging labs into cutting-edge research environments, introduced new overhead access to the existing expansive project bay, redesigned circulation for improved connectivity, and replaced the north façade’s curtainwall system to enhance performance and aesthetics.
For over 15 years, our partnership with the University of Maryland has delivered more than 30 projects, spanning small academic renovations to full-scale building transformations. From preserving historically significant structures to achieving multiple LEED certifications, our work continues to shape the University System of Maryland’s commitment to excellence, sustainability, and discovery.
