Nursing Program at Carroll Hospital
Marshall Craft is working with McDaniel College and LifeBridge Health to design the new home for McDaniel’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program at Carroll Hospital. The project transforms two existing spaces into an integrated educational environment that embeds nursing education within a working healthcare facility.
The facility provides specialized instructional and simulation spaces designed to mirror real-world healthcare settings, including classrooms, a skills lab, simulation labs, observation and debrief rooms, and dedicated student study and lounge areas. An administrative suite supports faculty and staff functions with offices, conference and testing rooms, and collaborative spaces.
This unique initiative addresses the region’s critical nursing shortage by combining the liberal arts foundation of McDaniel College with direct clinical immersion. Locating the nursing program within Carroll Hospital provides students with exposure to patient care environments, including access to the hospital’s Kahlert Foundation Simulation Center.
